The nomination period for the upcoming Board elections will now not close until 5.00 p.m. on Sunday 31 May 2020.

The Board had proposed to convene the next AGM in May.

However, in accordance with general relief that has been granted by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and potential problems with holding meetings, that has now been deferred until Sunday 26 July 2020 and the elections will proceed as follows.

The formal Notice of Meeting for the AGM will issue in due course.

Members are advised that in accordance with Article 18 of the Club’s Constitution, nominations have been called for election to the Board of Directors for 2020/2021.  Seven (7) directors are to be elected.

Nominations remain open until Sunday 31 May 2020.  If you require a nomination form please contact Reception at the Pittwater Road premises.  Members who have already duly lodged a nomination form do not have to submit another.

A nomination must be in the prescribed form and signed by the Candidate, Proposer and Seconder, who must all be financial full members. Nomination Forms should be lodged with the General Manager at the Club premises by no later than 5.00 p.m. on Sunday 31 May 2020, when nominations will close.

Members are requested to go to the Club’s website www.northrydersl.com.au for more details in due course.

After the closing time for nominations, ballot paper positions will be decided by lots drawn by the returning officer at a special board meeting, to be held on Monday 1 June 2020, specifically for that purpose.

The publication of the ballot paper, and the election of the Board of Directors, will be conducted by electronic (online) means and voting only.  Ballot paper details and further details of how to access the electronic voting will be sent by email or SMS to the addresses for members (where known to the Club), and on the Club's website.

Members are requested to provide the Club with an email contact address if they have not already done so. Electronic voting will be available online and (government restrictions permitting), through one or more terminals in the foyers at each of the Club's two premises from no later than 28 June 2020.

Voting closes at 12 noon on Sunday 19 July 2020.

The results of the election will be declared at the Annual General Meeting.
